How It Works: The Core Principle:

Suction Cups: Made of durable, pliable rubber or polyurethane, they form an airtight seal on the glass surface.

Vacuum Creation:

Manual Pumps: A lever or piston is worked to mechanically evacuate air from the cup.

Battery-Powered Pumps: An electric micro-pump creates the vacuum at the push of a button. Often include a visual or audible alarm for low vacuum.

Pressure Differential: The atmospheric pressure on the outside of the cup (approx. 14.7 psi at sea level) firmly holds the cup in place against the glass. The holding force is a product of this pressure and the cup's effective area.
