Hydraulic Lift Table Scissor Lift Platform
The lifting process involves a coordinated interaction between the hydraulic system and the scissor mechanism:
Activation: The operator activates the lift using a control panel or switch. This starts the electric motor or engine, which powers the hydraulic pump .
Pressure Generation: The pump draws hydraulic fluid from a reservoir and pressurizes it, forcing it through control valves toward the hydraulic cylinder .
Cylinder Extension: The pressurized fluid enters the cylinder, pushing the piston outward. The cylinder's position is often horizontal, connecting the legs of one scissor arm to those of another .
Scissor Action: As the cylinder extends, its force pushes the bottom ends of two scissor legs apart. One leg rolls along a track on the base, while the other is fixed in place . This "unfolding" motion forces the scissor arms to straighten, converting the horizontal force into vertical motion.
Platform Lifting: The unfolding scissor arms push the top platform upward. The platform rises straight and level, providing a stable surface for the load .
To lower the platform, the operator opens a control valve, allowing the hydraulic fluid to flow slowly back from the cylinder to the reservoir. The weight of the platform and its load then pushes the fluid out, causing the piston to retract and the scissor arms to fold back down in a controlled manner .
